Volunteer Opportunities

JBE is amazing not only because of the great teachers and staff but also the parents who invest their time in our school. Studies show that parental involvement in a child’s education is one of the most important factors in raising students’ self-esteem and academic achievement.

Parent volunteer roles inside the classroom provide supplementary support for students, teachers, and families! It is extremely important that each classroom fills these roles in order for students to experience a wonderfully well-rounded year.

**Please note, you must fill out a volunteer application with DCPS and be cleared (10-15 day process) prior to being allowed into JBE for any volunteer role. Fill out an application at www.dcps.samaritan.com

The Friends of JBE PTO is looking for fresh leadership for the upcoming school year! Please consider joining the team—either full or part-time (yes, job sharing is an option so grab a partner!), and most jobs can be done primarily from home at any time (not necessarily during school hours) so there is a lot of flexibility.
